Help make the 30th Annual Merrick Team Race a success. Whether you're an experienced race official, sailor, or simply enjoy helping great events happen, we'd love to have you join our volunteer team.

Schedule & Time Commitment
Volunteers should plan to stay for the entirety of the event. Here's the plan.

Time TBDZoom: Clay Johnson gives a whiteboard overview of team racing and how to umpire, followed by a chance for umpires and other volunteers to ask questions. All volunteers are welcome; attendance for umpires is strongly encouraged.
Wednesday, August 12
8:00-9:00 AMSailor registration check-in, BHYC Merrick Center (Dale Building if rainy or too hot).
8:50 AMVolunteer photo at the step-and-repeat banner.
9:00 AMSkipper's meeting.
~10:00 AMRaces begin.
12:00 PMLunch served on the water.
~4:00 PMRacing finishes — sometimes as early as 3:00 PM. (Sailing Instructions: no races start after 4:30 PM.)
4:30-5:00 PMPizza, ice cream, and awards — Merrick Center or Dale Building.
5:30 PMRegatta volunteer drinks in Commodore's Bar. First round is on the Chair.
A runner will be available to shuttle umpires, PROs, and finish boat personnel to the restroom.
